Our review

Valued Opinions is a paid survey panel. According to its terms it is run by Dynata, a market research company. This is a directory review. We have not tested Valued Opinions with a real account, so there is no score or earnings figure. The facts below come from the company's terms and conditions.

Who can join

The terms say the service is available to people residing in the United States. If you live elsewhere, this is not the right panel for you. The minimum age is 17. Younger people can take part only with parental consent, through a parent's account.

How rewards work

You collect points, which the terms call Panel Currency. The important detail is that these points cannot be redeemed for cash. The rewards the terms mention are virtual Mastercard or Visa cards, which may require identity verification, and, on some panels only, donations to charities approved by Dynata. The terms do not give a full list of other options.

The $50 minimum

The terms set the minimum redemption at the equivalent of $50. They also say Dynata may offer lower thresholds without notice. In practice that means you need to build up a meaningful balance before you can spend anything, so it suits people who plan to answer surveys regularly over several months, not people who want a quick payout.

What to check before you join

  • Confirm you live in the United States, since the panel is not open elsewhere.
  • Check the rewards page for the options available to you, because they can change.
  • Look at the point expiry rules on the sister site Opinion Outpost, which shares the same terms, where points expire one year after posting.

Our view so far

Valued Opinions suits US residents who are happy to be paid in virtual cards. The $50 minimum and the lack of a cash option are the main drawbacks, and they are worth knowing before you spend time on surveys. Until we have tested it, treat this as a listing to check, not a recommendation.

Pros

  • Free survey panel run by Dynata
  • Rewards include virtual Mastercard or Visa cards
  • Teens may take part through a parent's account

Cons

  • Only open to people living in the United States, according to the terms

  • Points cannot be redeemed for cash
  • Not tested by us yet
