How it works

PayPal's Partner Program is for partners who integrate PayPal into their products, market PayPal services and refer merchants. We could only read the legacy agreement page, last updated 21 March 2022, which applies to partners who joined before March 2020. The current program may differ.

Who it is for

The agreement is a contract with the entity or individual named on the partner registration form.

What you can earn

The page states no referral fees, commissions or payment rates. It says benefits are listed in a Program Guide, that PayPal may change the benefits at any time and decides eligibility in its sole discretion.

What you need to join

Partners sign the agreement, register for any required card association programs through PayPal's acquiring bank, and prove PCI compliance if applicable. They must follow PayPal's branding and marketing guidelines and handle their own customer service.

Other details

Either side can end the agreement with 30 days' notice. Partners are responsible for taxes and for integration costs.
